SENATE CANDIDATE ANDREW ROMANOFF WINS ENDORSEMENTS FROM CANDIDATE JILLIAN FREELAND, SCHOOL BOARD DIRECTOR TAY ANDERSON, STATE SENATOR STORY, ENGLEWOOD COUNCILMAN STONE, AND SURVEYOR BRYAN DOUGLAS
DENVER, CO — U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff announces key endorsements following his win at the State Democratic Assembly. Colorado 5th Democratic Congressional candidate Jillian Freeland endorsed Romanoff at his victory rally on Tuesday:
I am proud to endorse Andrew Romanoff for U.S. Senate. Andrew is a bold, progressive leader who will fight for universal single-payer healthcare and an economic recovery plan focused on good-paying, union jobs and green infrastructure investments. His legislative experience as Colorado’s Speaker of the House makes him the most qualified candidate, and his rejection of corporate PAC money ensures that he will only be beholden to the people of Colorado. Join me in working to ensure that we elect Andrew Romanoff as our next U.S. Senator!
Denver School Board Director At-Large- Tay Anderson also endorsed Romanoff at Tuesday’s rally:
“The United States Senate needs someone who believes in strong neighborhood schools, who understands that climate change isn’t a hoax, and who will be a true fighter for progressive issues. I know there is one Coloradan who can get these bold issues accomplished and that is Andrew Romanoff! As Colorado’s youngest African American elected to public office, I know the tough fight Andrew has ahead!”
In addition, Romanoff also secured endorsements and support from Colorado State Senator Tammy Story and Surveyor Bryan Douglas of Jefferson County and Englewood Councilman John Stone. They add their names to a growing list of 375 leaders and many organizations who have endorsed Romanoff for Senate.
